A PRECINCT OF ARCHITECTURAL MASTERPIECES
Mastery by Crown Group marks the culmination of decades of experience combining to achieve a singular vision. A new era of urban living for Sydney, with a strong emphasis on creating communities and connecting people with nature.
From a meeting of great minds, Mastery by Crown Group was born. In partnership with Crown Group, internationally renowned architects Kengo Kuma, Koichi Takada and Sydney-based Silvester Fuller, have created monuments to excellence. A collaboration of the highest order, the five-strong collection of exceptional buildings and the community it cultivates will fast become the beating heart of Waterloo.
Sunito’s long-held dream of working with Kuma was set in motion after a chance visit to the Kuma-designed Great (Bamboo) Wall House in Beijing's countryside. With its breathtaking marriage of traditional Japanese design principles—namely elegance in simplicity—and nature, the house made an indelible impression on Sunito.
To achieve the monumental vision for the ambitious Waterloo project, Sunito toured Japan in order to experience the best of Japanese architecture and its effects on the daily rhythms of life.
The creative partnership between Kengo Kuma, Koichi Takada and Silvester Fuller is a world-first, and the five-building development is the first collaboration of its kind for the harbour city.
Waterloo is experiencing a significant transformation. Formerly an industrial precinct, Crown Group has established a new vision for the inner-city area and will transform it into a premier Sydney destination. At the core of this transformation is the aim to establish and foster a new community in Waterloo, with a focus on resort-style living and a deep connection to nature—right in the heart of inner Sydney.
